Dr Rajeev Khoodeeram is a Senior Lecturer and holds a PhD in Computer science with specialisation in Bioinformatics, Université Côte D’Azur, France. His first degree is a B.Eng in Computer Science and Engineering followed by an MSc in Information and Communication Technologies.
His research interests are in Bioinformatics, Data science and Internet of Things (including Artificial Intelligence).
Founder of the Emerging Technologies department, Dr Khoodeeram is also responsible for the creation of a research laboratory working at the forefront of Data science, Internet of Things, Autonomous systems and Biomedical engineering.
He has intervened in several modules in Master Artificial Intelligence and Robotics including Machine learning, Deep learning and AI Programming. He also shows interest in IoT using mobile applications and intelligent systems (taught both at degree and Master levels).
Currently, he is the Head of the Bel Air campus and leading the Emerging Technologies department.
